Hunters of all ages, expertise and backgrounds will enjoy the calm and peacefulness of the property. Small to large corporate hunting parties will feel welcome and well taken care of in the Sunde Haus and the Big House. The whitetail and axis hunting is challenging and rewarding.
Location, Location, Location…
The McMarr Ranch is located less than an hour from San Antonio Int. Airport. It sits tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills, massive cypress tree river banks, and elm covered creek bottoms of the famous Texas Hill Country. The property is just minutes from historic towns, the renowned Texas wine country, unique antique shopping opportunities, and even Six Flags.
Turnkey Hunting
The McMarr Ranch is located less than an hour from the San Antonio Int. Airport.
Allows the hunting of whitetail deer from October through the end of February, with any legal means of hunting, as well as year round Axis Hunting – Axis deer can be hunted year round since they are considered an exotic species.
The lodging at McMarr Ranch is welcoming, comfortable and plenty. The Big House was built in the early 1900’s, has six bedrooms, and can sleep up to twenty people.
Across the drive from the Big House is a large kitchen and dining facility called the Sunde Haus. Hunters can choose to bring their own food and cook and eat at their own pace, or the ranch can provide the food and a cook so that hunters can focus on the hunt.
Hunters can sight in rifles before the hunt at ranges from 100 yards out to 1200 yards.
Guests can enjoy fishing and/or kayaking and canoeing on the Guadalupe River, or in a tanks/ponds located on the ranch.
Hunters will benefit from state of the art cold storage facility located on property. McMarr staff can also deliver your game to a local taxidermy/deer processing facility located just 10 miles away.
Hunters will enjoy the hunters locker room with ample space for easy storage of hunting gear and have plenty of room for changing and unchanging from hunting clothes to camp clothes.
